Recreation LeaderThe Borough of Edgewater is seeking a full time Recreation Leader to organize and oversee recreational programs and activities for adult and children’s programming. Responsibilities include but not limited to planning Senior activities and trips. Responsible for the development and organization of a future Senior Activity Center. Act as a liaison with senior activities and opportunities between the County of Bergen and the Edgewater Housing Authority. Responsible for the development and organization of a Peer to Peer tutoring program in cooperation with the Edgewater Board of Education. Coordinates, plans and assists in all special events and holiday activities which will require working beyond a standard work day with varying hours such as evenings, weekends and holidays. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills a must with the ability to work with children and seniors. Salary commensurate with experience including comprehensive benefits. Crossing Guards – The Police Department is in need of substitute crossing guards for the 2017-18 school years. Possible opportunity to become a regular crossing guard. Preference given to Edgewater Residents. Applicants 18 and older can obtain an application at the Borough – 55 River Road or from our website: www.edgewaternj.org. A valid New Jersey Drivers License is preferred. Standard background checks are performed and guards need to report to posts by 6:45 a.m. and again by 2:00 p.m
