NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
Tuesday August 7 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Veterans Field, 1167 River Road. “National Night Out” is sponsored by the Edgewater Police Department in cooperation with the Edgewater Fire Department and First Aid Squad. This is a national event that enhances the relationship between neighbors, law enforcement, and emergency responders, and provides a great opportunity to bring the community together under positive circumstances while promoting community partnerships, camaraderie, and making Edgewater a safer, better place to live. Music, rides, balloons, face painting, demonstrations, and refreshments for purchase.
FREE MOVIES AT VETERANS FIELD
Bring a blanket or chair and your own snacks (please clean up after yourself), and dress the kids in their pajamas. Start times at dusk or when dark enough to view the movie.

MUSIC AT THE MARINA
Every Thursday evening from 7:30pm to 9:00pm, bring a chair or blanket with a picnic basket and enjoy the cool breezes off of the river;

Aug 23 - Rapid Descent - Edgewater Group playing Pop Hits.

VOLLEYBALL AT VETERANS FIELD
This favorite Edgewater summer pastime keeps everyone is shape from children to seniors on the “Great Lawn” at Veterans Field on Tuesday evenings ending on Tuesday August 28 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
Don't forget to check out the weekly farmers market which began on Saturday May 12 and ends on Saturday November 17 from 9am to 2pm in the Shadyside Parking Lot, 336 Old River Road. Fresh choice produce, baked goods, pickles, spices, cured meats, and much more.
4th ANNUAL SENIOR BARBECUE
Join us at the Marina for great food, games, music, and prizes on Monday August 27 from 11:30am to 2:30pm. Participate in the Brownie Baking Contest and transportation will be provided. Space is limited so call for your reservation at 201-943-1700 ext. 6003.
ANNUAL SHREDDING EVENT
The 2018 annual shredding event has been scheduled for Saturday September 9, 2018 from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the Edgewater Community Center. Bring your unwanted papers, tax returns, receipts and watch them be shredded in a state of the art shredding truck, free to residents.
SEPTEMBER 11 MEMORIAL SERVICE
This year’s September 11 Memorial Service will take place at Veterans Field 1167 River Road at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday September 11 at the 9/11 Memorial Monument by the base of the large flag. Let us not forget our three residents who perished on that fateful day, Robert M. Levine, Anne T. Ransom, Jayesh Shah and recognize those brave Americans who answered the call to duty.
COASTAL CLEAN-UP DAY
Join the Mayor and Council for our 6th annual “Coastal Clean-Up Day” on Saturday September 15 at the Edgewater Commons Mall, by the Outback Steakhouse at 10:00am. Last year we had over 100 volunteers who helped in removing over 20 yards of debris and litter from the Hudson River shore line. The First Aid Squad blood drive will be held on Friday September 14 from 3pm to 8pm at the Edgewater Community Center, 1167 River Road. Please help support this worthwhile cause to replenish the local blood supply. - Bergen County Senior Picnic Aged 60+ at Van Saun Park Wednesday Sept. 12th departing the Community Center at 9:30am, returning at 3:00pm, rain date Wednesday September 19.
