BUILDING & TAX: BUILDING DEPARTMENT
 
The function of the Building Department is:
1. To issue building permits for New Construction of Buildings and Renovation of existing Buildings.

2. Property Maintenance Complaints for all Multiple Dwelling buildings and Commercial Buildings.

3. To issue Certificates of Continued Occupancy on the resale of Buildings, Condos and Co-op Units and rental of Condo and Co-ops.

4. Issue Certificates of Occupancy on all new Construction.

5. Accept and review applications for Planning Board and Board of Adjustment hearings, send to necessary Board Members and Professionals.

6. Collect escrow money from Builders for all Board applications and pay professionals for there review and reports for each application.

7. Schedule Inspections for all Inspectors.

8. Answer all Zoning questions.

Office Hours: Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm


Hours of operation when inspections can be scheduled:
Building: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9 am – 12pm
Electrical: Monday – Thursday 12pm – 4pm
Fire: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 4pm – 6pm
Plumbing: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 11 am – 2pm


Property Maintenance:
For any property maintenance complaints on a 1 or 2 family dwelling please call Helene Ciccarelli at ext. 2103.

For property maintenance complaints on multiple dwellings or commercial properties call Jeff Clemente at ext. 3128.
