Curbside Recycling Guidelines – All acceptable recyclable materials are picked up on Wednesdays and Thursdays every other week. (see schedule for your pick up day) Please place your recyclables in appropriate receptacles on the curb before 7:00 AM on the day of collection. DO NOT PLACE RECYCLABLES IN PLASTIC OR PAPER BAGS.

Mixed Paper Guidelines

Please ensure that mixed paper not in appropriate receptacles are bundled properly, and not in paper or plastic bags.
Cardboard Guidelines
Corrugated cardboard will be picked up on Mondays only. All cardboard must be bundled and placed at the curb before 7:00 AM.
Co-Mingled Container Guidelines
- Glass food jars and bottles
- Aluminum and metal food and beverage containers
- Pet food containers
- All Plastic bottles.
Please ensure that all containers are rinsed and have had their caps removed prior to being placed in an appropriate receptacle. No plastic or paper bags.
The following items are not considered recyclable materials, and should be included in your regular garbage as explained in garbage collection.
- Pie tins
- Aluminum foil
- Window glass
- Drinking glasses
- Yogurt margarine, sour cream or cottage cheese containers
- Hard cover books
- Aerosol cans
- Carbon, wax, thermal, tissue or toilet paper, or paper towels
- Window envelopes
- Pizza boxes
- Paper plates
- Styrofoam packing peanuts

Leaf Collection Procedures
Leaves will be picked up at the curb starting on October 20th and
ending at the end of December. Pick-up days – Monday, Tuesday,
Friday and Saturday. Leaves must be at the curb before 7:00 AM on
the day of pick-up.
Pick-up will be as follows:
Monday and Tuesday - North End
Friday and Saturday - South End
Wednesday and Thursday (NO PICK-UP DUE TO RECYCLING)
1) Leaves must be piled approximately 8” to 12” off of
the curb to allow water to flow to catch basins. Do not push leaves
to the middle of the street.
2) Remove all Brush, Branches, Yard Waste and Garbage.
3) DO NOT BLOCK CATCH BASINS WITH LEAVES

Household Batteries
Please drop off household batteries at the DPW facility in the fenced in area between 7:00 am and 2:00 PM Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 12 noon on Saturdays.

White Goods
