EMERGENCY SERVICES: BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION - FIRE INSPECTORS   Fire Official/Fire Subcode Official Charles Batch - (201) 943-1700 x4117 Appointed to Edgewater Career Fire Department in June 1974. Promoted to Fire Official in July 1995 and Fire Subcode Official in February 1997. Associates Degree in Fire Science from Bergen Community College. Licensed as a Construction Official, Building Inspector HHS and Mechanical Inspector RCS. Member of the Bergen County Prosecutors Arson Task Force. Educator with the Bergen County Juvenile Fire Prevention Program. Fire Inspector Thomas Quinton - (201) 943-1700 x4203 Appointed to the Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department in January 1992. Previously held the rank of Lieutenant. Was a member of the Leonia Fire Department from 1986 to 1994. Certified Fire Official and acts in that capacity in the absence of the Fire Official. Works full-time in the Edgewater Department of Public Works as Superintendent. Elected member of the Edgewater Board of Education. Fire Inspector Joseph Chevalier - (201) 943-1700 x4201 Appointed to Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department in January 1979. Has previously held the rank of Lieutenant, Captain, Deputy Chief and Chief. Certified Fire Prevention Inspector. Works full time for the Edgewater Municipal Utilities Authority. Is appointed as the Borough of Edgewater "Right to Know" Coordinator. Fire Inspector Steve Pynn - (201) 943-1700 x4202 Appointed to Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department in January 1997. Previously held the ranks of Lieutenant and Captain. Certified Fire Prevention Inspector. Works full time for the Edgewater Municipal Utilities Authority. Housing Inspector Jeffery Clemente - (201) 943-1700 x3128 Appointed full time Housing Inspector in 1981. He is responsible for enforcement of the Uniform Fire Code and the New Jersey Multiple Dwelling Code in all multiple dwellings within the Borough.
