EDGEWATER MARINA, PARK & FERRY LANDING

The Borough of Edgewater is pleased to announce the opening of the marina and commencement of ferry service on Monday, March 5, 2007. The ferry landing is strictly a “drop and go” facility.  Since no onsite parking is permitted at the ferry landing, your transportation can be accomplished in a variety of ways.

  1. Walk – The facility is conveniently located at the intersection of Route 5 and River Road.
  2. Drop and Go – You can be driven by a family member or friend and simply dropped off at the site.
  3. New Jersey Transit Bus Route 158 and 188.  The 158 travels south on River Road from Fort Lee and the 188 travels north on River Road from North Bergen.  Refer to www.njtransit.com for schedule and fare information.
  4. Shuttle Service – The Borough of Edgewater’s free shuttle service is a limited first come, first serve service.  Seating is limited and it is recommended you provide yourself with a minimum of 60 minutes travel time.  The service will operate according to the ferry schedule listed below.

NEW YORK WATERWAY will have a ticket booth on the barge at the ferry landing for daily purchases and monthly passes and advance tickets can be obtained at www.nywaterway.com or 1-800-53-ferry. Tickets fares are $8.00 per one way trip, $68.00 for 10 trips and $230.00 for a monthly pass.

SHUTTLE SERVICE SCHEDULE:  The service will operate from 5:45 AM to 9:40 AM according to the ferry departure schedule and again by the return schedule from 4:15 PM to 8:20 PM.   All shuttle stops are designated with a white sign with blue lettering and are a NJ Transit Official Stop.  The designated stops for departure in the morning are as follows:

New York Waterway has coordinated their departure and return schedule to closely mirror the New Jersey Transit Bus Schedule for the 158 and 188 routes.  In the event you miss the shuttle bus, you have an alternative with NJ Transit.  During mid-day and evening hours when the Edgewater Ferry is not running, NY Waterway provides free bus service between Port Imperial in Weehawken and Edgewater.
