Welcome to the Edgewater Health Department. We are located in the Edgewater Community Center, 1167 River Road. Our goal is to encourage a healthy community. Members of our team include a Health Officer, Public Health Nurses, Registered Environmental Health Specialist (R.E.H.S), and Secretary/Registrar of Vital Statistics, and an appointed Board of Health.

  • Diagnose and investigate health problems and health hazards in the community

  • Enforce laws and regulations that protect health and ensure safety
  • Link people to needed personal health services and assure the provision of health care when otherwise unavailable
