Recreation Programs are open to all residents of Edgewater. If you
or your child would like to participate in a Recreation Program you
must attend an in-person registration date. No registrations will
be processed without payment. Late registrations will only be permitted
if there is space available in the program. There will also be a $30
late fee for all late registrations.
Payments
The only forms of payment that will be accepted are checks and money
orders.

Registration dates will be held at the Community Center. For more

Refunds
Refunds will only be made if a program is canceled due to insufficient
enrollment or inclement weather.
Insufficient Enrollment
If group minimums are not met, programs may be shortened, condensed
or canceled. Those enrolled in the program will be notified of any
changes prior to the start of the program.
Participation
Recreation programs advertised on this website are intended for willing
participants. Any child who is crying, screaming or unwilling to participate
in the program will be sent home.
General Class Policy
All classes are held at the community center unless indicated otherwise.
Please note carefully the date and time of your class. We register
a lot of individuals for each session of activities, and cannot give
notification of each registration. We will notify you if your class
is canceled or changed, so it is very important that we have a daytime
phone number. Please make sure your schedule will permit you to take
a class before registering. We cannot issue refunds unless the Recreation
Department cancels or changes the advertised schedule of a class.
Please arrive on time for classes. We cannot hold up a classroom of
students for one or two people who are late. To ensure safety of your
child please accompany young children to and from the classroom. Unfortunately,
we have no supervision for children after class ends. Please pick
up your children promptly at the end of a class. We may find it necessary
to charge an additional fee to parents who are habitually late in
picking up their children. We will re-schedule all classes that the
Recreation Department cancels, however, we cannot re-schedule classes
for students who miss classes.
Inclement Weather Policy: The Edgewater Recreation Department will
close if the Edgewater Borough Hall is closed. To find out if the

Pool Badge Information
Pool Badges are available beginning mid-June and cost $20.00 per badge. The pool is open to children 12 and under. All children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult. For more information please call (201) 943-1700 x 6000.
Park and Field Reservation Information
Available to residents only. All requests must be made in writing
to the Edgewater Mayor and Council at least 30 days in advance. All
requests must include a date, time frame, number of people attending,
and a contact name and phone number. Rain dates must also be included.
Fees: Veterans Field Picnic and Baseball Diamond $100 (up to 3 uses)
Additional Baseball Diamond $25
Veterans Field Repeating Time Slot Weekday $200
Veterans Field Repeating Time Slot Weekend $250
Veterans Field Deposit $75
Tennis Court Information
Tennis Courts are available on a first come first serve basis.
Players are asked to change on the hour, if people are waiting. All
individuals must have a valid
Edgewater ID. Courts are for Resident use only.
Outside Basketball Information
The basketball courts are first come first serve basis. All individuals
must have a valid Edgewater ID. Courts are for Resident use only.
