Edgewater Officers

30 professional police officers make up the Edgewater Police Department.There are diverse backgrounds and talents among the department's members; many have military backgrounds while others have spent time in the private sector or operating their own businesses.

Specialized Functions

Specialized functions within the department include:

• Coordinating with women's groups on domestic violence solutions
• Helping with training at the academy
• Motorcycle patrol
• Working with kids programs like L.E.A.D.

Almost all of the Edgewater police officers are trained as EMT’s and offer cross-support to the ambulance squad.
