Social Services


The Borough of Edgewater works with the Bergen County Board of Social Services to provide general assistance to Edgewater residents, you must contact the Bergen County Board of Social Services directly.


  A list of what is required is found here. This office also completes online applications for NJ SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – formerly Food Stamps)  and Medicaid for any resident regardless if you have dependent children or not.

The Borough of Edgewater uses CGP&H to rent their State-regulated affordable housing.  You can complete the on-line application here.
