In accordance with the Open Public Meeting Law, P.L. 1975, Chapter 321, notice is hereby given that
the Mayor and Council have scheduled a Special Meeting to be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 6:00PM, Borough Hall, Council Chambers, 55 River Rd, Edgewater, NJ 07020. The meeting will be held in-person only. The purpose of the meeting is regarding “Housing Element and Fair Share Plan of the Master Plan”.

Borough of Edgewater Governing Body and Borough of Edgewater Planning Board
Notice of Public Hearing Regarding the Adoption of the Borough Master Plan’s Housing Element and Fair Share Plan
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE in accordance with N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq. and the Municipal Land Use Law, N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1 et seq. and, more particularly, N.J.S.A. 40:55D-13, that on June 23, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Edgewater Borough Hall, Council Chambers, 55 River Rd, Edgewater, NJ 07020, the Governing Body of the Borough of Edgewater (the “Council”) and Planning Board of the Borough of Edgewater (the “Board”) will conduct a Joint Meeting and hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of the Housing Element and Fair Share Plan, prepared by Gregory Associates, LLC, pursuant to Section 28 of the New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law. At the joint public hearing, the Council and the Board will receive a presentation from its planning expert as to the proposed Housing Element and Fair Share Plan.
Following the public hearing the Board may take action by amending and/or adopting the proposed Housing Element and Fair Share Plan as part of the Borough Master Plan. An electronic copy of the proposed Housing Element and Fair Share Plan will be posted on the Borough’s website, at
At the Hearing, opportunity will be given to all interested parties to be heard after which time the Planning Board and the Mayor and Council may take action to adopt the Housing Element and Fair Share Plan pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-28 and N.J.S.A. 52:27D-310. The Planning Board reserves the right to make amendments to the HEFSP at the public hearing prior to adoption and without further notice.
Beginning on Friday, June 13, 2025, a copy of the proposed Housing Element and Fair Share Plan of the Borough of Edgewater will be available for public inspection on the Borough’s website at https://edgewaternj.com and during regular business hours, Monday through Friday excepting holidays, in the Borough Clerk’s Office at Borough Hall, 55 River Road, Edgewater, New Jersey, 07020.
