[ARCHIVED] EDGEWATER COUNTS, EVERYONE COUNTS

Please participate in the 2020 United States Census, log onto 2020census.gov and get counted, we matter, we count!

A few reasons why you should fill out the census, it’s that important;

Think of your morning commute: Census results influence highway planning and construction, as well as grants for buses, subways, and other public transit systems.

Think of your local schools: Census results help determine how money is allocated for the Head Start program and for grants that support teachers and special education.

Think of your local hospitals and health care workers: The census determines how much funding our local hospitals and medical providers receive during crisis such as the pandemic.

Think about our first responders such as our police, fire, and ambulance personnel: The census determines how much funding a community such as Edgewater may receive for things such as equipment like the personal protective gowns and facemasks needed during this pandemic.
